Our Story
Gordon’s Agricultural Organization-Uganda (GAO-UG) Limited is not just an organization, it’s a movement of change for the farmers in Northern Uganda. Our story is about resilience, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
Over the years, we have impacted over 5,000 farmers, both small and large-scale, providing them with access to affordable agricultural inputs, modern farm tools and equipment, extension services, and micro-credit. We have also trained over 100 farmers’ groups on sustainable farming practices, enabling them to adopt more efficient and effective methods of farming.
One of our most significant success stories is Caroline, a small-scale farmer who once struggled with low crop yields due to poor-quality inputs and limited access to modern farm tools. With our help, she acquired high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, as well as modern farm tools, which enabled her to increase her yields by over 50%. Today, she is a successful Agri-entrepreneur, employing several other farmers and contributing to the economic growth of her community.
We are proud to have partnered with over 5 local and international organizations to promote sustainable and ethical farming practices. Through these partnerships, we have provided farmers with access to new markets and promoted inclusive growth and development.
Our micro-credit services have also enabled over 100 farmers to expand their farms and increase their productivity, with disbursements totaling over UGX 10 million. Our micro-credit services are designed to be affordable, with low-interest rates and flexible repayment terms that are tailored to the unique needs of each farmer.
