Gordon’s Agricultural Organisation -Uganda wins East Africa Business Innovation Challenge which took place on 29 July ,2022 in Nairobi,Kenya at Tangaza University College .
GAO -UG Limited was selected to present their project under Circular Economy and Renewable energy .
The project involves producing smokeless biofuel briquettes from Shea nut shells and millet stalk .This is one of the best renewable energy that will help over 28.8 million rural households in Uganda.
Additionally ,GAO-UG also plan to establish Shea nut tree seedlings which will be sold to farmers at affordable price
According to the CEO of GAO-UG Limited,the company is trying to solve community problem from grass root levels and they are currently looking for funding from different sources inorder to boost rural development not only in agriculture but also in the field of renewable energy
We started as Agricultural based organisation in 2020 which major purpose was to boost Rural agricultural development in Northern Uganda and Uganda as awhole.
We are every farmers choice and we believe one day GAO-UG will be providing smokeless briquettes to over 28.8 million Ugandans
